Today's Positive Post

"Prayer for Today: Today I will focus on what I have....instead of what I don't.  Today I will focus on those who love me...instead of those, whose love I crave for. Today I will sigh with gratitude for the Blessings that universe has already bestowed upon me...instead of asking for more. Today I will just be ME." - Motivational Thoughts

Today's Positive Post

Do not throw away this confident trust in the Lord.
Remember the great reward it brings you!
Patient endurance is what you need now,
so that you will continue to do God's will.
Then you will receive all that he has promised.

Just Curious

I have a few concerns and was wondering if any of you have my answers?! I know I will speak with his doctor about them, however the dr.s don't know nearly as much as the parents do!  :)

I don't know if it's medicine, timing, summer, something else going on, or just him. I know that will all of his rages and for the most part he can be very much like a 4 year old. However, lately I have noticed that he seems to be regressing in the maturity area. He was in an ok mood yesterday (thank you God!), and I noticed that he was playing very much like a 6 year old would. He has been reading the Harry Potter books (nothing is wrong with that mind you), I know he has read them before, but this time he seems to be totally getting into them, he doesn't want to wake up to reality and wants to live in his book.

Yesterday after school, my other half found him sitting outside with his fishing tool, cutting a twig up. My first thought was he was trying to make a spear ( he has been so mean). We took the knife away from him (which he shouldn't have had anyway!) and asked him what he was doing. He was trying to make a wand. One like what Harry Potter has. Taking the knife away did not discourage him, he found a large sharp rock and finished what he was doing.

Anyway, with the help of his dad, and my other half, he now has a wand like Harry Potter's. Just waiting to stain it! He was walking around outside last night yelling out the spells that he has read about. Totally not something he has done in the past. In general he acted like a little boy again. He was even ecstatic when my other half gave him the wand when he was done with it. He is wanting to play with younger kids more often. When we got home the other day he saw a group of 6-8 year old boys (maybe younger) and he yelled, "yay, now I have someone to play with!". These boys are half his age!

Now don't get me wrong, I am totally happy if he is happy (in a good way, not over the edge happy). I am not complaing about any of this. He has always been more immature than kids his age, but it seems to be more noticeable lately. Anyway, I was just curious...

Oh and his probation officer thinks he may also have Borderline Personality Trait Disorder- but thats for another day.

Thanks for any answers, private or otherwise :)

Many Blessings

Today's Positive Post

Love is patient; love is kind. Love is not jealous; is not proud; is not conceited; does not act foolishly; is not selfish; is not easily provoked to anger; keeps no record of wrongs; takes no pleasure in unrighteousness, but rejoices in the truth; love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, and endures all things.
 ~I Corinthians 13:4-7

While I heard this at a wedding I went to on Saturday, I believe that this fits motherhood too! Especially ones with Special children! Happy Late Mother's Day :)

Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and he saved them from their distress; he sent out his word and healed them, and delivered them from destruction. Let them thank the Lord for his steadfast love, for his wonderful works to humankind.

Today's Positive Post

"...'Cause what if your blessings come through raindrops

What if Your healing comes through tears

What if the thousand sleepless nights are what it takes to know You're near

What if trials of this life are Your mercies in disguise..."
